Mommy Audrey Day

I had the best day with this sweet girl. We both skipped school and spent the day doing all the things she loves. My principal job has definitely been the hardest on Audrey, and it was nice to make her the priority today. Lots of great conversations and fun...we even let Daddy join us for a few of our stops. It was just the day we needed, and Audrey is already planning our day for next year. ❤️

Breakfast at Ihop (Audreys favorite)

Waiting for Daddy to meet us at mini golf

Mini Golf at Tualatin Island Greens

Daddy joined us for a little golf

Always playing in the water

This girl LOVES animals, especially rabbits. Today she saw a rabbit in the bushes and we paused our golf game for a bit so she could watch it.

Next stop was Critter Cabana to visit all the animals

She desperately wanted to bring one of these home...don't worry mommy held strong with a no. 😂

A few treats for her new rabbit (that will be joining our family this summer)

Lunch at Olive Garden (Audrey's other favorite)

Ceramic Painting

Our escape room stop was a lot of fun!
We were SO close to escaping! We will totally have it next time.

Final stop, ice-cream at 22 Below!

Ten and a Half

Today is a big day for this mama's heart. For ten and half years I have been faithfully taking "bear pictures" of our girls. Every week for the first two years, and every month after that until age five. After that we moved to birthdays and half birthdays only (be careful what traditions you start when you just have one kiddo 😂)
Today, Audrey and I decided that it's time drop down to just "whole birthdays." Grandma started this half birthday tradition and we continued with a little celebration today, but without the bear photo.
My heart is (nearly) ready for this next step in life, but some days I still long for that little girl with the bows. Our sweet Audrey Anne is growing up right before my eyes and I am so proud of the young lady she is becoming. She has the biggest heart, and I know God will use her for amazing things.

Hadley's Birthday Celebrations

Hadley Mae wanted NOTHING to do with her birthday before yesterday. She told us she didn't want treats, a party, presents, or anyone to know it was her birthday (she might be like her mama in that regard 😉). After some M&M pancakes before school on Friday though, she changed her mind and it turns out she does like celebrating her birthday after all! It was so fun to watch her smiling and enjoying her special celebrations. We sure do love this little lady!

We sure love our Teacher Carol

Hadley requested Happy Meals for her birthday dinner 😂

On our way to her gymnastics party!

Hadley picked a popsicle theme for her party this year!

My Grandma use to send me $2 bills (for coffees) when I was in college. I still have them all. ❤️
After her accident, my Grandpa took over the tradition. It always makes my heart smile when he (and my mom) send them to my girls.
