Our little girl is loving Pre-K and is really starting to enjoy working on her letters and homework. She has made lots of new friends and has been super excited to ride the bus to and from school each day. Lilly is also doing very well in her AWANA Cubbies class and is enjoying her soccer games (once we can convince her to actually get in there and play). Her favorite foods right now are chicken burritos and mac and cheese and she loves watching Willy Wonka and Barbie movies on Netflix. Lilly is wearing size 6 clothes now and seems to be growing taller every day. We love her bunches and couldn't imagine our life without her sass and spunk.

Nine years ago this morning and one day before her 70th birthday, while crossing the street to buy a newspaper on vacation, my Grandma Bert was hit and killed by a boy driving to school. I remember that morning so vividly. The phone call…the news. I was in the middle of parent teacher conferences. It does not seem like nine years ago. There are so many times in those nine years that I have thought, "Grandma Bert would love this!" She would love watching her family grow and experience life. She would love our family campouts, our Thanks-mas parties, and her new great-grandbabies. She would love that despite all we have been through we still stick together, find happiness in the simplest of things, and above all still have our faith in the God that she loved and raised us to know. My Grandma will no doubt be celebrating her birthday in heaven tomorrow with the biggest of celebrations, and as a result of our undeserved salvation, I know I will indeed see her again. Praise God for that!
Love you bunches Grandma!!

We had a great time at the Fir Point Farms Pumpkin Patch today. The girls had hay rides, played with the animals, enjoyed the Nut House, painted pumpkins, ate doughnuts and picked out pumpkins. The weather was perfect and it was fun to spend time with these two sweet hearts. They are growing up way too fast!
