Audrey's Soccer Pics

Miss Audrey is all finished with her fall soccer games. She enjoyed this league a lot more than her last one, but still wasn't overly excited about it. Maybe we will try again next year. Audrey was excited to receive a pack of M&M's from her coaches Kyra and Yuuka at her last game. She told me it was even better than a medal!!

Weekend In Tillamook

We made a quick trip to Tillamook last weekend. We stopped at the cemetery to take Grandma flowers for her birthday, visited the Air Museum and even went to the Tillamook Pioneer Museum. All in all it was a fun few days and the girls had a blast spending time on the farm and swimming in Papa and Grandma's hot tub.

Audrey said Grandma wouldn't mind if she had one of her flowers, and she's absolutely right about that.

Just as we left our visit with Grandma we reached 80,000 miles on the Freestyle. :)

One Year- 31 Weeks

Miss Lillian has a new tooth! Just one more and then her 2 year molars! We had a super fun time in Tillamook this past weekend. It was a quick trip but Lilly loved swimming (until she pooped in the hot tub) and picking up trash in the fields with Papa. Lilly is using all kinds of sentences and saying so many new words each week. She has been eating really well and sleeping good this week too! Our Lilly Bug loves to dance!  She had SO much fun dancing with sister at her class last week. Her favorite songs to dance to right now are "Let it Go," "Happy" and "I'm On Top of the World." She is also getting good at singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider and Wheels on the Bus.

Missing Grandma

Six years ago this morning and one day before her 70th birthday, while crossing the street to buy a newspaper on vacation, my Grandma Bert was hit and killed by a boy driving to school. I remember that morning so vividly. The phone call…the news. I was in the middle of parent teacher conferences. It does not seem like six years ago. There are so many times in those six years that I have thought, "Grandma Bert would love this!" She would love watching her family grow and experience life. She would love our family campouts, our Thanks-mas parties, and her new great-grandbabies. She would love that despite all we have been through we still stick together, find happiness in the simplest of things, and above all still have our faith in the God that she loved and raised us to know. A few months ago I had clearest dream. Grandma was there and she told me one thing, "Miranda, there will be good days and there will be bad days, but always keep your head up." How important it is to grow through the bad days and to remember that no matter what you are facing in life, things can always be worse. It helps me appreciate the good days that much more and to think of others who are going through things far more painful than me. Today, despite missing my Grandma like crazy, I choose to have a good day because I know my Grandma will be celebrating her birthday in heaven tomorrow with the biggest of celebrations and because I know that as a result of our undeserved salvation, I will indeed see her again. Praise God for that!

Love you bunches Grandma!!
