Oaks Park with the Jordans

We attended the preschool morning at Oaks Park this week. Brennan, Catie, Amy, Sandy and Aunt Kate joined us, and we had a great time riding the rides. The kids especially enjoyed the milk, cookies and story with the dairy princess at the end of the morning. Brought back a lot of memories for this Mama. :)

Three Years- 8 Months

How can it be time for another "bear photo" with Audrey? She is growing up WAY too fast! Audrey has been such a great helper this past month. She is being much kinder to her sister and is doing an awesome job of considering the feelings of others when she makes a choice. We are so very proud of her. Audrey just finished two weeks of swimming lessons and she is now floating (with help) and going under the water! She also loves swimming in our pool and going for family bike rides in our new bike trailer. Audrey is getting really good at writing the letters A and Y and can write the rest of her name with an example and a little help. She is also really starting to enjoy drawing pictures and coloring. We are very proud of the girl she is growing up to be and and always, we are so thankful for our happy, healthy girl. 

One Year- 19 Weeks

Lillian still hasn't been sleeping very good this week. :( I'm hoping we are on our way toward getting a new tooth and I'm also hoping we get these last four before school starts again, but that might be wishful thinking. Lilly continues to talk up a storm. She is using all kinds of sentences now and trying new words every day. She loves hot dogs now and has also been eating some chicken strips. Lillian loved the Sherwood Parade this past weekend and she also enjoyed a fun day exploring Downtown Portland on Sunday. She is our fearless little firecracker and we love her more than she will ever know.

Downtown Portland

We took a spontaneous trip to Downtown Portland with Grandma Liz and Papa Doug today. We visited the City in the Sand festival, the new Apple Store, a fun candy and soda shop, had lunch at Russell Street BBQ and finished the day with a trip to Salt & Straw ice-cream. It was a great day with lots of memories!!

Sherwood Parade

We had a great time at the Sherwood Parade yesterday. The girls enjoyed doughnuts and they collected lots of candy from all our friends in the parade. It was a fun day in the sunshine and we enjoyed spending time together as a family.

One Year- 18 Weeks

Someone's hair is just long enough for her first pigtails! For the most part she enjoys having her hair done and she does pretty good about leaving it alone once we've done it. :) Lillian has loved swimming in our pool this week and she had a great time riding the rides at Oaks Park for Great Grandma's birthday this past weekend. Miss Lilly must be growing because she has been eating a lot this week and sleeping well too. She has even started to take a liking to meat (something she wasn't very into up until now). I still can't believe how much Lillian talks. You can tell she is trying to talk in sentences as she will babble a few words and then finish with the words she knows. She also even went potty in the big girl potty this week (although I'm sure it was nothing more than a well timed break that made it successful). :)
