Summer Fun

Hadley's 2 year check up on June 1st. She loved her doctor's appointment and has been asking to go back every day since.

Happy Father's Day Justin

Some day these girls will truly know what I already do...that they have one of the best daddies in the whole world. He is always helping us learn new things, is beyond patient, keeps a little adventure in our lives, and loves us all unconditionally. We love you more than milkshakes Daddy Justin!

Father's Day

The girls and I went to Tillamook to visit Great Grandpa Norm for Father's Day!

This picture is a bit blurry, but I love that Grandpa is still trying to make us laugh

Two Years- 1 Month

Hadley Mae has had quite the month! She is completely potty trained now, and has only had three accidents since we started potty training right before her birthday. In the last few weeks, her final two molars have come in and we are officially done with teething! Hadley has been sleeping through the night like a champ, although she still likes someone to lay with her until she falls asleep. She prefers to not wear clothes now, and especially when she sleeps, so we'll have to work on that before she heads back to Teacher Carol's in the fall. Right now Hadley loves to sing, paint, watch the iPad, dance with her sisters, swim in our pool, and play on the new gymnastic rings in the playroom. She is really good at somersaults and loves to go for walks around the block. Her favorite foods right now are ice-cream, milk, yogurt, fruit, bacon, pancakes, and rolls. We can't wait to spend the summer with this little lady! She is so much fun right now, and her snuggles and caring spirit always brighten our days.

Audrey and Lilly's Dance Recital

The girls' dance studio had an end of year performance this week. The girls arrived in small groups and their teachers recorded the groups doing their dances. Can't wait to see the video when it's done. I got to stay and watch Lilly, but Audrey's group was old enough to not have parents join so we haven't seen her dance yet.

A Few Thoughts...

I really don’t use my social media accounts for anything more that sharing pictures of my girls with my family and friends (well...and maybe buying and selling things on local swap sites), but I have a few things that have been on my heart and I want to take a minute to share them. Let’s be honest, no one is changing anyone’s mind from a social media post. To think that we will change the world by making such posts is just untrue. Do you know what can change the world though...

*ACTING in a way that reflects kindness towards others, even if they look, think or believe differently than you.
*Always being open to learning and changing based on new information, opinions or situations you encounter.
*Being brave enough to ADMIT when your thinking may have been wrong, and owning up to it if you need to make a change.
*Being willing to change, grow and do better.
*Not sitting silent when others need your support.
*Continuing to learn something new every day.
*Gathering information from all kinds of sources. Questioning, searching for answers, never taking anything at face value (especially things you read on social media).
*Staying true to your values and beliefs, without  putting down the values and beliefs of others.
*Talking to people who think and look differently than you. Listening to their stories. Asking questions. Learning from them.
*Modeling positive actions in real life and on social media. Thinking before you act. Thinking before you post.
*Truly wanting the best for others, no matter who they are, and acting in a way that reflects it every...single...day.
*Talking to your kids about what’s going on in the world. Teaching them that we can do better, that we NEED to do better.
*ALWAYS striving yourself to do and be better, and never settling for anything less.
*LOVING other people. Yes of course all people, but ESPECIALLY those of color who need our love the most right now. ❤️
