First Birthday Photos

One Year- 1 Week

This sweet girl has a new molar popping through! We also found out she has a double ear infection when she went in for her one year check up on Thursday. Hadley has been eating more and more "big kid" food, and she especially loves pizza and cheese. She is also obsessed with coloring right now and tries to write or draw on every piece of paper she can find. Hadley is running all over the place, but still does not care to walk on grass. She hasn't been sleeping great, but that makes sense now that we know she has a new tooth and an ear infection. Only two more weeks until Hadley is off for summer vacation. We are excited to enjoy the nice weather and spend more time outside. 

Eight Years- 6 months

Audrey Anne is 8 1/2 years old today! She is almost finished with second grade and is doing such a great job in school. Her reading has really taken off and she now chooses to read on her own each day, which really warms our hearts. She especially loves reading her Beginner's Bible and she is only a few weeks away from reading the entire thing! Audrey is currently playing softball and seems to be really enjoying it. She is also looking forward to joining the swim team in the fall. Audrey still loves most of the same foods and pizza, bean burritos, and corn dogs are still top on the list. We sure love watching this girl grow and we can't wait to see what God has in store for her life.

Happy Half Birthday Sweet Girl!

Happy Birthday Hadley Mae!

Hadley Mae is one today! She is walking like a champ and is always trying to climb or get into something. She eats all kinds of foods and has recently started drinking some whole milk as well. Hadley still wakes up a few times a night, but she's working on learning to put herself back to sleep and almost always stays in her crib for the whole night. She now says, dada, uh-oh, and get down, as well as her own versions of a few other words. She is a pro at riding her little car toy around the house and now even enjoys the thrill of trying to stand up on the seat. Hadley doesn't particularly enjoy walking or standing on the grass, but she has enjoyed the recent stretch of nice weather and we are excited for all the fun that's in store for this summer. She is currently wearing size four diapers and size 18 month clothes. I will update with her current stats after her well check-up on Thursday. Hadley has eight teeth and we are pretty sure is working on a few more as well. 

Our lives were completely changed the day this sweet, happy girl entered our lives! We didn't know we needed her in our family, but now can't imagine a day without her. She brings us great joy and we love her more than she will ever know. We thank God for entrusting her to us, and we are excited to see where he leads her in life. Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

Hadley enjoyed a fun birthday celebration at Teacher Carol's today, followed by two softball games for both big sisters!

One Year Old

Our sweet baby is ONE today! She is growing up way too fast! She now says "get down," but will still not even attempt to say "mama." Hadley tried watermelon, blueberry muffins, burritos and pizza this week and really liked them all. She also loved her birthday cake and the chocolate pudding at her school party. Hadley also ate some paste at school and some more glue when she got home yesterday,  so apparently she thinks those taste great too! Hadley is just starting to get over a cold she's had all week, but we were excited when she slept for six hours in a row the night after her party! It only lasted a night, but we will still take it!
